1. Data Controller

2. Data collected

Using the site involves the collection of the following categories of data:

  • Registration data: first name, last name, email address and password (stored encrypted, never in plain text). Registration is required to receive the result of any service, even a free one.
  • Data provided for readings: for example date of birth, place of birth, a dream description, or names entered for compatibility calculations, depending on the service requested.
  • Payment data: paid services are processed entirely by PayPal. The site never receives or stores card numbers or PayPal credentials, only confirmation that payment was completed.
  • Browsing data and technical cookies: IP address, browser type, session cookies required for the site to work and to keep the user logged in.
  • Statistical data: when active, Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) collects data on site usage for statistical purposes.
  • Advertising data: when active, Google AdSense (Google Ireland Limited) displays ads and may set its own and third-party profiling cookies, as described in Google's policy.

3. Purpose and legal basis

Data is processed to: create and manage the user account and deliver the requested services (performance of a contract); manage payments via PayPal (performance of a contract and legal obligations); reply to requests sent through the contact form (consent); carry out statistical analysis via Google Analytics and display ads via Google AdSense, when active (user consent, requested through the cookie banner).

4. Processing methods and security

Data is processed using IT tools and security measures suitable to prevent unauthorized access, loss or destruction of data. Passwords are stored encrypted and are never visible, not even to the Data Controller.

5. Disclosure and transfer of data to third parties

Data may be disclosed to third parties acting as data processors or independent controllers:

  • PayPal, for payment processing;
  • Google (Google Analytics and Google AdSense, when active), for the statistical and advertising purposes described above;
  • the email service provider, to send communications related to the account and purchased services.

Some of these parties are based in the United States: the transfer of data relies on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or equivalent safeguards under Articles 44-49 GDPR.

6. Cookies

The site uses technical cookies required for it to function (session, login, selected language) and, when enabled by the user through the cookie banner, statistical cookies (Google Analytics) and advertising cookies (Google AdSense). Account data is kept for the entire duration of the site membership and deleted upon the user's request, except where retention is required by law, for example billing data kept for the period set by tax regulations.

The site's services are not intended for minors under 16. The Data Controller does not knowingly collect data from minors and will delete it if it becomes aware of such data.
